A digitally designed sculpture in cast aluminium. Parts sectioned and CNC milled from the digital file. Cast in sections, TIG welded, finished, and freighted interstate on a fabricated steel plinth to a new development in Perth.

The client had four options priced before committing to anything; fibreglass, fabricated aluminium, cast aluminium, cast bronze. Real programs. Real numbers. They chose sand cast aluminium. We carved the complex curved geometry directly from the digital file and 3D printed the fine details. Then sand cast the 32 sections in aluminium, welded, hand finished, coloured and transported to Perth for installation.
